The last time I released my patented double prong quick release hardware in .925 sterling silver, I was celebrating acquiring the patent! The foundry in England that I was working with on the previous iteration of sterling hardware became unreliable and I had to cut ties. I have been working with Japan on bringing this hardware to reality since we first formed our relationship over two years ago!

This hardware is not cast in the same way that brass is, for this very special release, we had to utilize an age-old technique called "lost wax casting" which is a fascinating method that utilizes wax to create a temporary mold, and then the wax is essentially destroyed or "lost" after a casing is formed around it and it is melted to make room for the metal to be poured in.

The buckle and keeper are both cast in solid .925 sterling silver, I have hand polished each piece to a dull sheen so that they are ready to develop an amazing patina. Though these belts are highly limited and exclusive, they are not numbered. However, this is a special release, so I will be using my signature double row hand-stitching method to secure the hardware.

You can pair any leather that is currently available on my website with this hardware, simply add your preference next to your measurement notes, or if you want to secure a belt and haven't decided on a leather yet, you can leave your leather preference blank and decide later. Also available exclusively with the Sterling & Copper releases is a selection of Tochigi leathers. Pictured (in order): Summer Oil Camel, Summer Oil Black, and Friese Chocolate. All weigh in at around 9-10oz.

Because this hardware is extremely expensive to produce, initial quantities are extremely limited.

Please follow the detailed sizing instructions here. It is normal for the measurement to be several inches larger than your waist or tagged jean size. If you have any doubts, please reach out to me with any questions.

Like all of my made to order belts, these will be made according to the queue estimate in my website banner.

Handmade to measure in Denver by one person.
